How To Prevent Waste and Save Money on Baby Clothes

One of my favorite things to do is go thrift store shopping and since having a baby, I love it even more. My little Tallulah, grows so fast that she barely gets to wear half of her clothes. It seems a little wasteful and silly to buy new clothes for babies so my advice is to hit the thrift stores, consignment stores, ebay, www.shopgoodwill.com and the great site, www.threadup.com. You will find such satisfaction in that special find of a brand new or gently used winter coat for only $2.00 or that amazing pair of old baby Levis for 96 cents. You can save money, save waste and save time! Of course, do not feel bad if you give in once and awhile and buy those new little baby jeggings!

So take some time this weekend and assess your baby's closet and see what you really have and what you really need and check out your local thrift store.

Good luck and do not forget to bring your reusable shopping bag for all those fun finds.

Share your ideas and places you love!! I would love to hear your thoughts!

  1. My favourite word lately is re-purpose...depending on one's desire to create, it can be fun to turn something old into something new.
